A Rock 'n' Roll Romance in print
Designing the creative for my own wedding was not just a labour of love, it was a full-scale passion project (complete with deadlines, print runs, and a healthy dose of glittered plectrums).
We styled the day around one of our most nostalgic and joy-filled places: Hard Rock Café. After two decades of collecting pins, menus, and memories from HRC locations around the world, it only felt right to channel that bold, iconic energy into the look and feel of our wedding.
Paying homage to the Hard Rock aesthetic without turning the venue into a themed restaurant, I carefully selected expressive, rock-inspired typography to reflect our story, grounded and strong, with a playful script font for warmth and personality. The palette nodded to HRC’s bold simplicity, softened with personal touches and a few inside jokes for good measure.
I designed and produced every element: RSVPs, invitations, menus, table names, signage, place cards, centrepieces, a custom wedding website, and even a 10-page venue guide complete with seating plans, dietary notes, and mini guest bios (because spreadsheets don’t scream “romance,” but good design can).
From first concept to final print, every detail was hand-crafted to create a cohesive, meaningful celebration of our shared story, one loud, colourful, one-of-a-kind day… just like us.
